The above song was cut by the Censors on flimsy pretext that it
implied bribing a Police Officer.

It is possible that in some circuits, the distributors ignored the cut,
or at a later re-certification, the deleted part was added back by the producer.

I am curious to know, if any one has ever seen the video part of this
song, either on Big Screen or on a VHS/DVD/VCD

Thanks

I wish the world could have been that sensible and gracious. I had
purchased a VHS of the film a few years ago and did not find the song
in it. But, it would be lovely to get a glimpse of song. Once O.P.
Nayyar lamented that many of his best and hit songs like Jata Kahan
Hai Diwane, Balma Khuli Hawa Mein often did not find a place in the
released film. At least, it is good that the song remained on audio
compilations. There have been a good deal of songs that never saw the
light of the day including the ones from classics like Mughal-e-Azam
and Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam.

How I would love to hear the deleted song of Sahib Bibi
Gulam, "saahil kii taraf kashtii le chal".

It was said to be at the situation where Meena goes to the
temple with Gurudutt in the ghoda gadi, in the course of
which she got murdered.

I have heard that it was after Meena talks to bhootnaath
about his life and about his child marriage to Waheeda, she
feels tired and puts her head on gurudutt's lap and takes
rest or sleeps. People observed that spectatators might not
take the scene in right spirit and Meena's role will become
tainted, thus the song was dropped.

Hemant used (re-used) the music in anupamaa's "yaa dil kii
suno duniyaa waalo".

Does any one has that song in mp3?
